Sony Prize Draw - Terms & Conditions

 

1. Promoter

The promoter of this prize draw is the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography (NZIPP) (“Promoter”).

Sony New Zealand is the supplier of the prize only and is not the promoter or administrator of this promotion.

2. Promotion Period

The promotion opens on the date tickets for the 2026 New Zealand Photography Show first become publicly available for purchase and closes at 5:00pm NZST on Saturday 8 August 2026.

Entries received outside this period will not be eligible.

3. Eligibility

  1. Entry is open to registered attendees of the New Zealand Photography Show aged 18 years or over.
  2. Any person attending the event on a complimentary ticket is ineligible to receive an entry into the prize draw.
  3. Gala Awards Ceremony tickets and Masterclass-only tickets are not eligible for entry.
  4. Employees of the Promoter directly involved in the administration of this promotion are not eligible to enter.

If an individual who would otherwise attend on a complimentary basis chooses instead to purchase an eligible ticket during the Promotion Period, they will receive entries in accordance with clause 4.

4. How to Enter

To enter the prize draw, an entrant must:

  1. Purchase an eligible ticket to the 2026 New Zealand Photography Show during the Promotion Period; and
  2. Be registered with Sony Scene at the time of the draw. Registration is available at:

Entries are automatically allocated as follows:

  • Two Day Ticket – 10 entries
  • One Day Ticket – 5 entries
  • Single Session Ticket – 1 entry

Entries are allocated to the ticket purchaser only and are not transferable.

No separate entry form is required.

5. Prize

There is one prize package valued at over $11,000 NZD, consisting of:

Total approximate prize value: $11,199.90 NZD.

The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.

The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize (or part thereof) with a prize of equal or greater value should the advertised prize become unavailable for any reason beyond the Promoter’s control.

6. Draw Details

The winner will be selected by random draw.

The draw will take place live on stage at the conclusion of the New Zealand Photography Show on Saturday 8 August 2026 at the Majestic on Durham, Christchurch.

7. Winner Requirements

  1. The winner must be physically present at the closing session of the event to claim the prize.
  2. If the winner is not present when announced, the prize will be forfeited and redrawn immediately until a valid winner is present.
  3. The prize must be collected in person and cannot be collected by a third party.
  4. Proof of identity may be required.
  5. The winner must be registered with Sony Scene at the time of the draw. Failure to meet this requirement will result in disqualification and a redraw.

8. Event Cancellation

If the 2026 New Zealand Photography Show does not proceed for any reason, this promotion and prize package will not apply.

9. Privacy

By entering this promotion, entrants consent to the collection and use of their personal information by the Promoter for the purpose of administering this prize draw.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ).

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter and Sony New Zealand shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or liability suffered or sustained in connection with this promotion or acceptance or use of the prize.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any consumer rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where applicable.

11. General

  1. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries.
  2. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  3. By purchasing an eligible ticket, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
